We are on a journey to achieve IT excellence and we invite you to be a part of our new IT organization.Solution Architecture (SA) is responsible for architecting and designing solutions to meet specific new business demand and ensuring integrity of design through to implementation of the solution. The Solution Architects represent deep subject matter expertise in business process, solution design, best practices, and technologies supporting AgriumA?s technical and business environments. This role will be responsible for oversight of suppliers throughout detailed design process to assure solutions inclusive of the Agrium PeopleSoft ERP environment enable the Agrium enterprise to achieve a high level of systems integration, maximize the reuse of components and empower the rapid deployment of applications in response to business demand for change. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate supplier work and proposals to ensure alignment with design consistency for the long term architectural vision and roadmap for the Agrium PeopleSoft ERP solution Serve as primary client:facing technical PeopleSoft solution resource to collaborate on solution components required to meet business objectivesOversee solution design and development to meet specific new business demand and coordinate development of a cohesive technical solution estimate for proposed business needs Determine optimal approach to develop and deliver required ERP functionality from financial, architectural, operational perspectives (e.g. build/buy new or COTS; configure or customize existing application, subscriptions) Coordinate technical and functional requirements for application development efforts and facilitates definition of project scope, goals and deliverables for Application Development vendors. Oversee and review testing plans and outcomes to validate proposed solution meets architectural intent and will deliver the requested business need Qualifications: 5 years in PeopleSoft application solution design and development, including cross:domain experienceHeavy experience in solution design and delivery across the ERP software development lifecycle Experience in application development estimation and best practices in solution delivery Effective with creative solutioning and communication to influence and facilitate resolution of a problem/business issue.
