Woof woof! My name is Chief and I came to Soft Place to Land at the end of September xxxx. I was a stud dog at a puppy mill for the first 7 years of my life, living in a cage and getting no exercise. The great folks at SPTL are still working on getting me house trained and I am doing better everyday. However, I still need to wear a diaper in the house to avoid accidents. I lost pretty much all of my teeth when I got my dental cleaning, but I get along great with moistened kibble. I am coming around fairly quickly, but I am still somewhat shy with new people in the beginning. I would not do well in a home with small children, but I am curious about older kids. I do get along great with other dogs and with cats. I am kennel trained and can use a dog door. My adoption fee of $225 includes my neuter, vaccinations, microchip, heartworm check, and dental.
